Real Time Cash and Liquidity Control Built Into Aquila
Aqua Global’s Cash and Liquidity Management, powered by Aquila, brings liquidity monitoring and cash management together on a single platform, giving treasury and payment teams instant visibility of their true position.
Designed to replace fragmented and manual processes, the platform automates compliance reporting, sweeps funds in and out, generates outward settlement messages, and updates core system ledgers automatically or on demand, reducing operational risk and strengthening regulatory readiness across the treasury function.
Real Time Liquidity Monitoring
Aquila continuously monitors intraday and end of day liquidity positions, generating the analysis regulators and bank personnel require the moment it’s needed, so treasury always has an accurate, live view.
The platform sets the day’s opening position from the prior day’s closing balance, then tracks every credit and debit in real time, flagging payments sent but not yet confirmed and factoring in queued payments to project the current position. Payments can be released based on priority, such as customer rating or payment type, only when correspondent funding is available.
Liquidity Stress Testing
Regulators expect more than a real time liquidity position, they expect banks to show how that position holds up under pressure. Aquila extends the same live position data it already holds for Liquidity Management into the stress testing process, rather than asking treasury to rebuild it in a spreadsheet.
Users can apply stress parameters, such as increases in business or reductions in specific agents’ payments, directly to live intraday and end of day positions, with results compared graphically. Coverage spans idiosyncratic stress, market wide stress, and combined scenarios, supporting BCBS Principles for Sound Liquidity Risk Management and PRA expectations set out through the ILAAP.
Automated Cash Management
Aquila’s Cash Management projects intraday cash positions automatically, in any currency, and produces settlement messages in seconds, freeing up capacity for volume growth and giving treasury an accurate basis for reinvestment.
Positions can be viewed by account, with full transfer history and cut off transfers run automatically or by hand, or rolled up by currency and projected up to 10 days ahead. Once an account crosses a set threshold, funds sweep automatically, with four eyes approval configurable throughout and outward settlement messages generated the moment a sweep completes.
Every transfer posts to the back office in real time via API, with return codes monitored so failures surface immediately and can be repaired manually if needed.
Compliance, Control & Audit Trail
Compliance and control are embedded throughout the cash and liquidity process. References, transaction codes and ledger narratives are fully configurable and cross referenced in the Aquila database alongside related messages, giving one complete, auditable transaction history.
An exception based workflow, with posting approval enforceable before release, ensures teams are alerted only when intervention is required, backed by one audit trail spanning day to day liquidity reporting and stress testing.

Frequently Asked Questions related to the Treasury Hub.
What is Aquila's Cash & Liquidity Management solution?
Aquila brings intraday and end of day liquidity monitoring and cash management together on a single platform, giving treasury and payment teams a real time, single view of their true position. It automates compliance reporting, fund sweeps, settlement messaging and core ledger updates.
How does Aquila support liquidity stress testing?
Aquila applies stress parameters directly to the live intraday and end of day positions it already calculates, covering idiosyncratic, market wide and combined stress scenarios. This removes the lag and reconciliation risk of exporting positions into a separate stress testing tool.

What regulatory reporting does Cash & Liquidity Management support?
The platform produces statutory output including Bank of England PRA submissions, and supports BCBS Principles for Sound Liquidity Risk Management and PRA expectations set out through the ILAAP.
